Save the Children Canada carried out programs in countries around the world, including: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Colombia, DRC, Egypt, Ethiopia, Malawi, Mali, Somalia, Yemen to name a few. We continue to support local non-governmental partners in these countries to deliver effective projects and services in the areas of: -Education (formal, non-formal, vocational training); -Health, particularly maternal and new born child health programming -Nutrition -Humanitarian Programming in emergency situations, including in conflict affected countries or countries affected by protracted crisis -Livelihood programming (Food security and income generation activities for youth and their families) -Child Protection Programs (including programs to eliminate gender based violence, child and early forced marriage and the creation of child friendly space centers in emergency situations) -Policy and Advocacy working with local civil society actors and government to ensure children's rights are upheld and protected.
