A Pakistani immigrant named Major Muhammad Abbas Ali started MWC in the '80s. As its name implies, the group's first mission was to aid the homeless. Since then, the NGO has grown significantly, and now it helps Canadians in need by setting up refugee camps, operating mobile food banks, and supplying them with other necessities.

 

Additionally, they have gone global and adopted various causes. Specifically noteworthy is Pakistan's Deaf Support Program.

 

Students with special needs are provided with a first-rate education thanks to this initiative, which aims to increase school enrollment among their families. For the next five years, MWC will provide $50,000 Canadian toward the program's ongoing costs.

 

In addition to these efforts, MWC is also working to combat illiteracy and poverty in underdeveloped regions of the world, as well as explore new water sources.
