Donate to Catholic Charities - Men's Hostel

In October of 1958, on the orders of Archbishop Johnson, Charities of the Catholic Church of Men's Hostel formed a committee and started their work on the third level of the offices of the Vancouver Archdiocese. This was the beginning of their mission. After another 13 months, in November of 1959, the Men's Hostel finally opened its doors. Since it first opened its doors, the Emergency Shelter has expanded its capacity to 102 beds, its staff has grown to over 15 members and is continuing to expand, and it continues to broaden and deepen the scope of the social services it provides to its visitors.
